Rick Vaughn
Liverpool born Rick's swapped the Mersey for the canals of Birmingham to host 'Brum's Biggest Party', weeknights 7-10pm and The World's Greatest... on Saturdays 5-7pm. at the 96.4 BRMB.
Rick, who is 5ft 6 with blue eyes, has spent all of his broadcasting career in his hometown and is really excited to be moving to and broadcasting in Britain's second city.
Rick always wanted to be a radio presenter and remembers clearly the day he decided this would be his career "I was in my bedroom one day listening to snooker on the radio with the hairy cornflake and thought there and then - I could do this!" From then on he bombarded his local radio station with demo tapes until they saw the light and hired him.
When pressed on his most embarrassing moment on the air Rick gets very coy. "Let's just say I had to play two records back to back - until she left!"
When he's not presenting his show, Rick's hobbies include football, food and beautiful girls. Sometimes a night in is called for and then he loves watching 'Spooks' and 'The West Wing' or listening to the Cheeky Girls.
Rick is still getting to know the city but already loves Birmingham's Chinatown with all its great restaurants and loves night's out at Mechu- drinking Mohito's!
How would Rick describe his show on BRMB as "Frantic and very very funny!" Judge for yourself every Monday - Friday from 7 - 10pm and Saturday's from 6am 'til 10am.
